Diesel Mechanic – Full time position

About our business:
On-Trac Ag is a local progressive farm machinery and construction equipment business with branches located at Bathurst, Mudgee and Orange. Due to the expanding nature of our business, a full-time position has become available for a Diesel Mechanic based at our growing Mudgee branch.
Mudgee is one of Regional NSW’s fastest growing areas. Just a 3-hour drive from Sydney and Newcastle, it’s easily accessible. The region is well known for producing a wide range of agricultural products such as locally produced wines, super fine wool and honey.
We are currently seeking an energetic and self-motivated applicant to join our team as a full time Diesel Mechanic at our Mudgee branch for immediate start.

- Working hours are 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday with some after hours and weekend work as necessary
Roles and responsibilities will include:
- Repairing and maintaining agricultural and construction machinery and implements
- Electrical & Hydraulics diagnostics
- Seasonal / scheduled service work & repairs
- Overhauling of engines, transmissions and components
Criteria:
- A minimum two years recent trade experience and be a trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic
- Excellent diagnostic skills
- A strong work ethic and high standards in completing work in a timely manner
- Good written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively interpret technical service data, schematics and mechanical drawings
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Drivers licence
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience with New Holland brand, tractors & hay equipment
- Alternatively, experience within the agricultural industry particularly with baler/hay equipment
- HR Drivers Licence
- Current Forklift licence
